This module aims to help dentist manage those trauma cases that can walk through our doors and clarify step by step management as advised by the dental trauma guidelines

Objectives

By the end of this module, learners will be able to:

• Manage tooth fracture in adult patients

• Manage more complex luxation injuries in adult patients

• Manage paediatric trauma injures

• Understand the immediate treatment required and also long term monitoring for any future treatment that may be required

Learning Outcomes

After completing this module, learners will gain an understanding of how to:

• Diagnose the different trauma injuries

• Take appropriate radiographs

• Treat appropriately in the immediate trauma presentation appointment

• Plan the definitive treatment and reviews and what to monitor for in the long term
